Back to Hogwarts!
Sep. 1st, 2024 03:19 amHeads up! The Back to Hogwarts sales go live right after midnight on the 1st of September (so in the night from 31 August to 1 September). The Gifts with Purchase are only available as long as supplies last, and the Harry Potter GWPs tend to go very quickly, so if you're interested, be prepared to act quickly. Really nice: the GWPs are stackable, so you could conceivably get three of them. 😃 As previously reported, the Draco in the Forbidden Forest Polybag is available with qualifying purchases upwards of $40 / 40 EUR; with qualifying purchases upwards of $130 / 130 EUR, you'll receive the Borgin & Burkes Floo Network set as well; and you'll get the collectible Weasley Clock, too, if you order the Collectors' Edition of the Burrow.
As an added bonus, as part of what's shaping up to be a yearly B2H celebration, many Harry Potter lego sets and accessories are eligible for double VIP (Insiders) points, which equates to a discount off a future purchase of roughly 10% of the current purchase's price. I know that's a complicated way to put it, but it basically boils down to this: if you purchase $100 worth of qualifying items during the 2x event, you could redeem your points to get a $10 discount off a future purchase. Or the points can be redeemed for a variety of exclusive lego sets and collectibles for that matter. In fact... there just so happens to be a special lego Harry Potter reward available only for Insiders via the rewards section...( Read more... )

So we have leaked pictures of the boxes, which of course means they aren't great. Let that guide your decision to view beneath the fold or not. One of the things its sufficient to provide us with, however, are the names of the thus far unidentified students in the Great Hall. (Hint that means, yes, they are named characters.) If that's sufficient to entice you... ( Read more... )

2024 lego Harry Potter Winter Wave Photos!
Dec. 1st, 2023 11:32 pmJBSpielwaren have posted pictures of the winter wave! Woohoo!

Pictures below. I don't think they should be labelled as spoilers as these are basically the final, excellent quality pix, the set boxes, however, are missing a few details like piece counts, so it's conceivable, if not highly probable, that there could be a few other changes as well. Everything is below the fold if you'd like to see the new sets, sorted by the expected prices. ( Read more... )

Lego Harry Potter Winter 2024 Wave
Sep. 9th, 2023 04:23 pmAnd we have them! Set names and rudimentary descriptions of the Lego Harry Potter theme's winter 2024 wave! It's largely remakes / reimaginings, which this far into an evergreen theme with minimal new source material was to be expected. Fair dinkum. I do think they've missed a trick or two by not exploring scenes they haven't visited before, but it sounds like they have some ideas to keep things interesting, so let's take a closer look... Leaks for the autumn sets!
May. 31st, 2023 11:20 pmWe've got the first pictures of two of the autumn sets now from a Japanese catalogue, and they're both pretty good! The new micro-nanoscale Hogwarts, 76419 lego Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle & Grounds, and 76418 the 2023 lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar, both with an expected 01 September release date. (It's just a picture of the front of the Advent Calendar's box, and we've already seen the minifigs from an earlier leak, but think twice before spoiling yourself by clicking through.) ( Read more... )
As previously mentioned, we're getting three Brickheadz sets in the lego Harry Potter theme this summer: ( Read more... )
We've seen Dobby and the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes pix already, now we've got a peek for you at the remaining four sets. I'm still expecting the full reveal sometime today, because you don't release the first ever Battle of Hogwarts set the week of the 25th anniversary of the BoH without somehow reflecting that fact, darn it. (Or if you do, you need fire your marketing peeps and come speak to Ginger, just saying.)( Read more... )
76422 Weasleys Wizard Wheezes $89.99 | 834 pieces (8+) | 7 minifigs! (HBP) We now have a soft focus shot of the set, and some answers to the question of what we saw in the super fuzzy picture of the summer line-up that I'm attaching below. Spoil yourself at your own discretion.( Read more... )
New Product! Collectors' Cards...
Feb. 28th, 2023 11:23 pmWhile in all honesty I can't say I've particularly taken notice of these things since I was kid (something I'll assume is down to growing out of the target audience's age range, as opposed to being a question of actual availability on the market), this is the first time I've seen them produced for Harry Potter legos. w00t. My interest, quite naturally, was piqued. The success of the particular line of toys notwithstanding (HP is consistently amongst lego's top five best sellers), it is something of a niche audience. (I feel seen. 😉) Oh, but apparently they're now without chewing gum? Not that the stuff was especially good, it truly wasn't, but it was the only sugared chewing gum we were permitted in our household, and (presumably for entirely sentimental reasons) I find myself now missing it. C'est la vie. ( Read more... )
Bottom line, I'm not sure how I feel about the cards, but I loved the artwork, and presently there seems to be some new material here I haven't seen in the Ameet books. Then again, I don't have any from this year's collection yet, so it will be interesting to see if the cards do their own thing, or if they're sharing material.
