So via BrickTap, we now have a GWP rumour, and boy am I glad I gave up trying to guess.



So they seem to think the lego Harry Potter 2025 GWP timed with the autumn mini-wave is going to be 40770 the Room of Requirement, which makes so little sense to pair with the Hogsmeade set's release, that there is absolutely no way I was going to guess it. And like I mentioned with the thought of gating Cursed!Katie in a GWP, gating the RoR in a GWP when you're trying to have the biggest, most detailed Hogwarts ever is bonkers.

If there's any connection to the Hogsmeade set at all, I'd say it's the practising Defense in the RoR after forming Dumbledore's Army, but that's so tenuous as to be silly.

So I'm posting it because we've done well with rumours off BrickTap in the past, there's a good chance it's correct, but I'm also going to chill and wait to see if this gets officially confirmed, and then frankly I'm still going to shake my head. 😆

Wow, This is definitely Not on my consideration radar... not sure how to feel about this? Is it worth it to pick up the Main Tower to get this particular GWP, waffling...?

Well, alright... (That didn't last long. 😆) Wait to decide until it's announced unless someone throws a really massive deal your way. I just picked it up for 38% off, and still had a gift certificate which took the total spend to below 40% of the regular price. You better bet I went for it. That's really not going to be a common situation though.

You have to know your markets, and right now, for folks in the states, they're impossible to predict. The good news is both the Main Tower and Hogsmeade will likely be on the shelves for a while to come, there's a new lego facility built stateside, and there's hope that waiting it out will see some adjustments. But obviously no guarantees. As a side note, there is a court decision pending which might overturn the tariffs, and cause manufacturers and corporations that have fronted so far to be refunded, in which case the impact for the Christmas season — and possibly even back to school purchases, although that's less likely — might be mitigated. Fingers crossed, nicht wahr?

The problem with Hogsmeade is as a D2C, there aren't going to be real sales, if ever, until it goes EOL, and then it's always such a small window. The best to hope for are Insider points and GWPs.

Understand, and same here. Although, did get the official GWP pix today, and it IS the ROR. But it's the one from Snape's Headmaster year, with sleeping hammocks, and Arianna's portrait, etc.
