Fluffy! Leaked!
Apr. 22nd, 2025 12:49 pmFateful is back with a new leak, and they've got this summer's version of Fluffy for us. WooHoo! And he's looking good. We can expect it to appear in the 76454 Hogwarts Main Tower set for something like $250 (more on that in a later post), which confirms rumours that it's a Philosopher's Stone / Sorcerer's Stone based set from first year.

with thanks to fateful!
I miss the ability to bite that the 2001 OG Fluffy had, three cheers for the original, but I think this is still a step up over all with a sympathetic, lego-fied face that still captures the creature. I was hoping they'd retain the different head prints that made it possible to let Fluffy "sleep" depending upon how he was positioned, but the head shape is improved and the body is nicely done (definitely the best of the three), so I think we might be looking at the best Fluffy yet.

Date: 2025-04-23 08:50 am (UTC)1) right eye open, left eye closed on all three heads is out, because we can see both eyes on the first (right hand) head.
2) or like they did it the last time — open / open, open / closed, closed / closed. except if you look just under the centre head's chin, we can see the yellow of the third head's right eye.
So I figure that means they're all going to be open. It's also cheaper to print a single head, and allows them to claw back some of the cost of the new mould for the body. And the use of bricks to attach the heads means we'll likely see the body again in other themes and sets for single headed creatures, which is nice.
Yeah, I still have a little hope we're getting a posable jaw. If we do, they've done a great job with the form. Either way, it's far less obvious than 2001's chomper of a jaw, and it's interesting, from a marketing standpoint, that they're not highlighting it in the photo like they used to.
