There's a leak from Max Baut, generally deemed reliable, via his YouTube channel (and signal boosted by Brick Tap, cheers), that we can finally expect to see a Star Trek set coming from lego, presumably next autumn! w00t!!!

He's says we'll see a Next Generation set, no word yet on pricing, 3600 pieces, with a number of beloved characters represented for the first time in minifigure form (list below). Although I doubt I'll pick it up, space and budget being what they are, some legit squeeing took place when I read about it, so I thought I'd share. Fandoms often overlap after all. 😘

Expected characters: Captain Jean-Luc Picard, his Number One William Riker, our favourite Klingon and head of security Worf, Chief Engineer Geordi La Forge, Data the Android and his cat Spot, ship's Dr. Beverly Crusher, her son Wesley Crusher, ship's counselor and half-Betazoid Deanna Troi, and El-Aurian bartender Guinan.

It appears Transporter Chief Miles O'Brien gets no love, which is a little weird when they seem to be including Guinan, but that's not so unlikely as she's both female and a POC, and lego is keen to work on inclusion and representation, plus Whoopi was pretty cool in the role. Either way it's really hard to complain in the face of such decent character representation over all from a series. They've included eight of the nine TNG main characters, and Tasha Yar's inclusion would make less sense than Guinan's does (even though she was only credited as a recurring character or guest) considering Guinan's role both in TNG the series and the films and other works in canon (Generations, Nemesis, Picard). As for other women, Dr. Katherine Pulaski makes no sense when Dr. Crusher is already included, Keiko O'Brien doesn't appear that often in TNG, and I guess Bajoran Ro Laren doesn't actually appear in more episodes than Keiko does, coming in at only eight episodes a piece. (That said, I absolutely would prefer Miles O'Brien to Wesley, say, although there's always hope for DS9 sets, or even a Q inclusion could have been neat.)

While I wouldn't take the pictures too seriously as yet, AI artwork generation having come as far as it has, but with Data's pallor, he bears a resemblance to old school Snape (2001) that made me smile.

Anyone else inclined to squee?

Ah, yeah, I forgot about the SW one... geesh, I hope it's new, with that amazing eyebrow. I may have a type... and eyebrow acrobatics may be a "thing"?
