12 Grimmauld Advent Day 08
Dec. 8th, 2022 11:53 pmWhat If...
What if the 2022 Lego Harry Potter Advent Calendar focused on the Order of the Phoenix's Christmas at 12 Grimmauld Place in 1995? With the release of the lovely Grimmauld Place set this year and an abundance of canonical Christmas material, it seems such a shame that it didn't, so with the magic of Mecabricks, let's just pretend it did... Hey Presto!
The calendar starts here with Day 01.
Day 08 of the 12 Grimmauld Place Advent Calendar

Day eight we get an improved version of the stove from the 12 Grimmauld Place kitchen with a gold pan on the hob. It comes a little closer to the (impossible) build in the lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 video game while still fitting the scale of our build.

The boys wait a few moments, catching their breath at the table, but no one else enters the room.
"You didn't really think it was your mum, did you? You just wanted me to help tidy up," Harry teases.
"Well I'm certainly not above it," Fred grins, "but I did think she'd want to check on whatever she has in the oven." He gets up and goes to the stove for a sneaky peek and a deep sniff. "I'm getting hungry just sitting here smelling it..."
Harry's stomach growls in complete agreement.

Once again, no custom prints.
Running totals:
Total minifig count: 02
Total piece count (excluding minifigs): 88
Of those, custom pieces: 4 (2 torsos, 1 2x2 tile, 1 2x2 tile circle)

Some recommendations:
If you like Harry Potter MOCs, checkout the Horizont Alley build.
