I've been meaning to update this for some time now, but unfortunately have scattered my notes 😐, and wasn't all that eager to retrace tread ground. *sigh* I should get to it eventually... *she says optimistically* Maybe this is just the nudge I needed. 😉
A quick answer, though: we can probably rule out Dumbledore as the sleeping wizard, as I'm nearly positive I've seen the reference portrait, and it definitely isn't him, unless they're being even more liberal with reference material than the other canon sources, which they usually aren't. When lego deviate like that, it's usually in the direction of including one or more of the team in the portraits, as they did in the Hogwarts Moment: Transfiguration set (https://brickset.com/sets/76382-1/Hogwarts-Moment-Transfiguration-Class). (look at the three portraits on the books spine.) The hair colour is a bit confusing (as red and not grey), but with the limited colour palette used in the portraits makes a little more sense. (There are no grey-haired portraits in this series.) Also it solves the map issue, so there's that.
I'm not so sure about the ginger and Maud. I do have a better guess for Temeritus, but that's for another day. As far as "important" goes, the only reason I recognised Jocunda was her appearance on the chocolate frog card tiles. I literally scanned every single portrait in a number of wikis (fandom's was best, so I used it for the links) to identify Edessa, Damara, Elizabeth, and Basil, and to find Amrose, Maud, and Temeritus. When I have to put in that much effort, that's definitely coming down on the exceedingly obscure side of things.
I love that you contributed, and hope to see you again. I'll try to at least get "Dumbledore" update out for you. I think I'll win you over on that one. 😉
