Thanks to Promobricks, we now know the names, if not the contents, of many of this summer's lego Harry Potter sets. (Prices in USD)
76414 $64.99 | 754 pieces - Expecto Patronum
76415 $79.99 | 730 pieces - the Battle of Hogwarts
76416 $64.99 | 599 pieces - the Quidditch Trunk
76417 $429.99 | ???? pieces - D2C GRINGOTTS!. It's unclear what we can expect it to include at that price, although a rail system / track was explicitly mentioned. (Personally, I'm hoping against it.) It is, however, supposed to be Diagon Alley scale, and there was speculation about a dragon (and once again, I'd rather not). Frankly at that price point, I very much would like to see some of Knockturn Alley or more of Diagon alley included. We'll have to wait and see.
76418 $44.99 | 227 pieces - Advent Calendar
76419 $???? | 2660 pieces - D2C it's RUMOURED to be...the Knight Bus <- Promobricks has retracted that statement. The best rumour at present is it's a Hogwarts Castle & Grounds set. Presumably nanoscale or something smaller.
76420 (or maybe 76421?) $39.99 | 403 pieces - buildable Dobby, including sock and cake-of-Harry's-misery
There are two further sets we don't know much about yet, but we do now have piece counts and prices:
76422 $89.99 | 834 pieces - UNKNOWN AS YET
76423 $129.99 | 1074 pieces - UNKNOWN AS YET
Brickheadz:
40616 Harry & Cho $19.99
40617 Draco & Cedric $19.99
40618 Kingsley Shacklebolt$9.99 & Nymphadora Tonks $19.99
In view of the characters included, I'm guessing the students represent the four different Houses, and quite possibly their Quidditch teams as all four characters played.
The GWP is apparently a Gringotts vault, and some squeeing ensued. I love what they did with the Grand Staircase last year, so I look forward to seeing this set.
There's also going to be another one of the annual polybags, this time it'sRon's Cho's turn and [s]he comes with Quidditch gear. Possibly we'll finally see Keeper's kit, who knows? No, although we may still see some in the Quidditch Trunk set. What we're getting instead is Cho in a set of highly sought after Ravenclaw Quidditch robes. (see here for more information and a discussion of those very robes)
And finally there will also be a Harry Potter Dots edition. It should be more than one set, but promobricks didn't mention them in this update; I have that information from some of the European lego catalogues. What I saw of it wasn't too earth shattering, unfortunately. There are all sorts of printed pieces I'd love to have (as
erexen well knows, I need a nest of Puffskeins, for example, and I wouldn't mind a printed Puking Pastille in the least either 😉), these are not those.
The info I could scrape together on the DOTS sets so far, they're expected to be released in March 2023:
41808 $14.99 | 234 pieces - Hogwarts Accessories Multipack
41809 $19.99 | 518 pieces - Hedwig’s pencil holder
41811 $44.99 | 856 pieces - Hogwarts Desk Kit
76414 $64.99 | 754 pieces - Expecto Patronum
76415 $79.99 | 730 pieces - the Battle of Hogwarts
76416 $64.99 | 599 pieces - the Quidditch Trunk
