acciobrickThese are all the sets in the current series of Harry Potter lego, arranged approximately chronologically as they occur in the books and films. (Notable exception: the Fantastic Beasts sets are at the end of this list.) Each set is identified by name, set number (linked to its brickset entry), the appropriate films, and the characteristics that make it applicable for a particular book / movie.
Philosopher's Stone
* 4 Privet Drive - 75968 - (PS, CoS and PoA, to a lesser extent GoF, OotP, HBP, and DH) - Harry's room in the cupboard under the stairs (Summer 1991), his letters of acceptance to Hogwarts (31 July 1991), the short minifigure legs. DETAILS TO CHANGE: add Headmaster Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and / or a cat (for her animagus form), Hagrid, Sirius' motorcycle with sidecar (MOC) and baby Harry for the scene where Harry first arrives at his Aunt Petunia's house. Prisoner of Azkaban
* 4 Privet Drive - 75968 - (PS, CoS and PoA, to a lesser extent GoF, OotP, HBP, and DH) - DETAILS TO CHANGE: Vernon Dursley's sister Marge (MOC) is visiting with her English Bulldog Ripper, insults Harry's parents, and he performs accidental windless magic causing her to inflate and float away. Harry grabs his trunk and storms from the Dursley's home. (Summer 1993) The short minifigure legs are still appropriate. Note: Dobby is not present at the house in PoA.
* The Knight Bus - 75957 - (PoA) - After storming out of the Dursley's home, Harry is frightened to see a large black dog and escapes from it onto the Knight Bus which takes him to the Leaky Cauldron. (Summer 1993) DETAILS TO CHANGE: add a large dark dog to represent Sirius' animagus form, consider adding bits of an MOC playground for the dog to hide in.
* Monster Book of Monsters - 30628 - (PoA) - the text third year students use in Care of Magical Creatures.
* Harry's Journey to Hogwarts (polybag) - 30407 - (PS, also CoS and PoA, to a lesser extent GoF, OotP and HBP) - the short legs make this set a better fit for the first three years (01 September 1993) DETAILS TO CHANGE: "Wingardium Leviosa" is a Firstie's Charm - consider replacing it with Neville's Monster Book of Monsters from his CMF (Collectible Minifigure)

* Expecto Patronum - 75945 - (PoA) - Harry casts a corporeal Patronus for the first time rescuing Sirius Black and himself from the Dementors. (Although the scene is fairly exclusive to PoA, the trees, rock and water can be used for a Forest of Dean build for DH.)
* Hagrid's Hut: Buckbeak's Rescue - 75947 - (PoA) - Hermione uses the Time Turner to take herself and Harry back in time to rescue Buckbeak from the executioner. DETAILS TO CHANGE: With a Sirius Black minifigure and another part of the castle, Harry, Hermione and Buckbeak can then proceed rescue Sirius, allowing him and the Hippogriff to escape the Ministry flunkies.

* Beauxbatons' Carriage: Arrival at Hogwarts - 75958 - (GoF) - Fleur and Gabrielle Delacour arrive with their Headmistress Madam Olympe Maxime from Beauxbatons by flying horse (Abraxan) drawn carriage to participate in the TriWiz Tournament. (30 October 1994)
* Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge - 75946 - (GoF) - the first Task of the TriWiz Tournament has each of the four champions retrieving a golden egg from a dragon. (24 November 1994) Although the set and its minifigures are fairly specific to GoF, the dragon can be used for the escape from Gringotts in DH.
* Hogwarts Clock Tower - 75948 - (GoF, also PoA and OotP, and to a lesser extent PS, CoS, HBP and DH) - Yule Ball scene, HRH in Ball dress robes plus the other three champions and Headmaster Dumbledore and Madame Olympe Maxime. Yule Ball decorations (tree and snow covered tables with ice sculptures) with functional dance floor (25 December 1994) medium legs, NOTE: Hermione and Victor are the only of the original couples included, Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020 75981 is an extension of this set, Igor Karkaroff is the only of the TriWiz headmasters/mistresses missing, use either HP076 or an MOC.
* Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020 - 75981 - (GoF) - Yule Ball versions of HRH and Harry's, Ron's and Cedric's dates for the ball. (Padma, Parvati and Cho) (25 December 1994) Combined with the Clock Tower set, the only TriWiz champion missing a date is Fleur, as Roger Davies has not been included. (Consider a Roger MOC.) The set also contains furnishings for the Gryffindor Common Room, some food for the Yule Ball, some nanoscale GoF builds, and the gramophone Professor McGonagall uses when she teaches the students to dance.
* The Rise of Voldemort - 75965 - (GoF) - after winning the third challenge of the TriWiz Tournament, Harry and Cedric are Portkeyed to the Graveyard where Peter Pettigrew is resurrecting Voldemort. The scene depicted is fairly unique to GoF. Voldemort, Pettigrew, and the Death Eater can be used in other years, with some tweaking, the cemetery could conceivably stand in for the DH Christmas scene with Harry and Hermione at his parents' grave.
Order of the Phoenix

* Quidditch Match - 75956 - (predominantly PS, also CoS and PoA, and to a lesser extent OotP and HBP) - DETAILS TO CHANGE: the short minifigure legs limit it to the first three films and ideally would need replacing, Marcus Flint and Lucian Bole have graduated by this point.
* Hogwarts Room of Requirement - 75966 - (OotP) Professor Umbridge's Education Proclamations place this set firmly in OotP.
* Forbidden Forest: Umbridge's Encounter - 75967 - (OotP) Hermione and Harry lead Professor Umbridge deep into the Forbidden Forest where they encounter Grawp and Umbridge is then whisked away by centaurs. (18 June 1996) Grawp reappears for Dumbledore's funeral (early July 1997) and the BoH (02 May 1998), as do the centaurs.
Half-Blood Prince

General Castle Scenery
Leg pieces - the short legs for HRH are better suited for PS, CoS and PoA, sometime during HRH's third year, the minifigs graduate to the medium legs. Use medium legs for PoA, GoF and OotP. Once again, during the course of OotP, the minifigs move up to the next larger size in legs. Use regular legs for OotP, HBP and DH.
Uniforms - the general school uniform tops are unisex can be used for all seven years, and presently exist for all four Houses. (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw) There are other versions of the uniform with House robes for Gryffindor (robes open, robes closed with scarf, black robes closed with scarf, robes closed) and Slytherin (robes open and robes closed). Gryffindor also has two versions with cardigans (male with open cardigan, female with closed cardigan). The limited edition 20th anniversary tops used in the Hogwarts Moments Classroom books with House badges are ideal for Prefects' uniforms; presently they only exist for Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. There is no Hufflepuff version yet. The Herbology smocks are unisex and the same for all Houses and years.
Quidditch uniforms - there are two different versions, sweaters and robes. Sweaters are presently only available for Gryffindor and Slytherin. The robe version is available for all four Houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
* Hogwarts Great Hall - 75954 - (PS and CoS, also PoA, GoF, OotP, HBP, and to a lesser extent DH) - Great Hall, Duelling Stage, Spiral Staircase, Potions Classroom props. NOTE: only the Firsties arrive at Hogwarts via boat, the upperclassmen use the Thestral drawn carriages to get to the castle from the Hogsmeade train station. DETAILS TO CHANGE: Professor Quirrel only appears in PS, the Basilisk only appears in CoS (although its carcass has a cameo in DH), the short legs included are better suited for PS, CoS and PoA.
* Hogwarts Whomping Willow - 75953 - (CoS and PoA, also PS, and to a lesser extent GoF and OotP and to an even lesser extent HBP and DH) - Whomping Willow, Potions Classroom, Snape's Office, Gryffindor Dormitories, Owlery. * Hogwarts Astronomy Tower - 75969 - (HBP, also DH, and to a lesser extent PS, CoS, PoA, GoF, and OotP) - Herbology Classroom / Greenhouse, Ravenclaw Dormitories, Astrology Classroom, Astronomy Classroom, Teacher's Office, Potions Classroom props. DETAILS TO CHANGE: Professor Slughorn only appears in HBP and DH, the table with the chocolate fountain and goodies is from the Slug Club Christmas Party in HBP; the regular legs included are more appropriate for OotP, but the minifigs' dress robes aren't too universal anyway.

* 4 Privet Drive - 75968 - (PS, CoS and PoA, to a lesser extent GoF, OotP, HBP, and DH) - DETAILS TO CHANGE: Vernon Dursley's sister Marge (MOC) is visiting with her English Bulldog Ripper, insults Harry's parents, and he performs accidental windless magic causing her to inflate and float away. Harry grabs his trunk and storms from the Dursley's home. (Summer 1993) The short minifigure legs are still appropriate. Note: Dobby is not present at the house in PoA.
* The Knight Bus - 75957 - (PoA) - After storming out of the Dursley's home, Harry is frightened to see a large black dog and escapes from it onto the Knight Bus which takes him to the Leaky Cauldron. (Summer 1993) DETAILS TO CHANGE: add a large dark dog to represent Sirius' animagus form, consider adding bits of an MOC playground for the dog to hide in.

* Hungarian Horntail Triwizard Challenge - 75946 - (GoF) - the first Task of the TriWiz Tournament has each of the four champions retrieving a golden egg from a dragon. (24 November 1994) Although the set and its minifigures are fairly specific to GoF, the dragon can be used for the escape from Gringotts in DH.
* Hogwarts Clock Tower - 75948 - (GoF, also PoA and OotP, and to a lesser extent PS, CoS, HBP and DH) - Yule Ball scene, HRH in Ball dress robes plus the other three champions and Headmaster Dumbledore and Madame Olympe Maxime. Yule Ball decorations (tree and snow covered tables with ice sculptures) with functional dance floor (25 December 1994) medium legs, NOTE: Hermione and Victor are the only of the original couples included, Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020 75981 is an extension of this set, Igor Karkaroff is the only of the TriWiz headmasters/mistresses missing, use either HP076 or an MOC.
* Harry Potter Advent Calendar 2020 - 75981 - (GoF) - Yule Ball versions of HRH and Harry's, Ron's and Cedric's dates for the ball. (Padma, Parvati and Cho) (25 December 1994) Combined with the Clock Tower set, the only TriWiz champion missing a date is Fleur, as Roger Davies has not been included. (Consider a Roger MOC.) The set also contains furnishings for the Gryffindor Common Room, some food for the Yule Ball, some nanoscale GoF builds, and the gramophone Professor McGonagall uses when she teaches the students to dance.
* The Rise of Voldemort - 75965 - (GoF) - after winning the third challenge of the TriWiz Tournament, Harry and Cedric are Portkeyed to the Graveyard where Peter Pettigrew is resurrecting Voldemort. The scene depicted is fairly unique to GoF. Voldemort, Pettigrew, and the Death Eater can be used in other years, with some tweaking, the cemetery could conceivably stand in for the DH Christmas scene with Harry and Hermione at his parents' grave.

* Forbidden Forest: Umbridge's Encounter - 75967 - (OotP) Hermione and Harry lead Professor Umbridge deep into the Forbidden Forest where they encounter Grawp and Umbridge is then whisked away by centaurs. (18 June 1996) Grawp reappears for Dumbledore's funeral (early July 1997) and the BoH (02 May 1998), as do the centaurs.

General Castle Scenery
Leg pieces - the short legs for HRH are better suited for PS, CoS and PoA, sometime during HRH's third year, the minifigs graduate to the medium legs. Use medium legs for PoA, GoF and OotP. Once again, during the course of OotP, the minifigs move up to the next larger size in legs. Use regular legs for OotP, HBP and DH.
Uniforms - the general school uniform tops are unisex can be used for all seven years, and presently exist for all four Houses. (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw) There are other versions of the uniform with House robes for Gryffindor (robes open, robes closed with scarf, black robes closed with scarf, robes closed) and Slytherin (robes open and robes closed). Gryffindor also has two versions with cardigans (male with open cardigan, female with closed cardigan). The limited edition 20th anniversary tops used in the Hogwarts Moments Classroom books with House badges are ideal for Prefects' uniforms; presently they only exist for Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw. There is no Hufflepuff version yet. The Herbology smocks are unisex and the same for all Houses and years.
Quidditch uniforms - there are two different versions, sweaters and robes. Sweaters are presently only available for Gryffindor and Slytherin. The robe version is available for all four Houses: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
* Hogwarts Great Hall - 75954 - (PS and CoS, also PoA, GoF, OotP, HBP, and to a lesser extent DH) - Great Hall, Duelling Stage, Spiral Staircase, Potions Classroom props. NOTE: only the Firsties arrive at Hogwarts via boat, the upperclassmen use the Thestral drawn carriages to get to the castle from the Hogsmeade train station. DETAILS TO CHANGE: Professor Quirrel only appears in PS, the Basilisk only appears in CoS (although its carcass has a cameo in DH), the short legs included are better suited for PS, CoS and PoA.

DETAILS TO CHANGE: Professor Slughorn only appears in HBP and DH, the table with the chocolate fountain and goodies is from the Slug Club Christmas Party in HBP; the regular legs included are more appropriate for OotP, but the minifigs' dress robes aren't too universal anyway.
