Thought of [livejournal.com profile] milotzi the moment I saw her. I wasn’t sure we needed new robes, her last robes were lovely, but that thistle print on the back? Gorgeous! I’m a little unsure about the hair colour, it’s lighter than I would have expected (but then I always see Maggie Smith when I think of the character), but I really like that we finally have a variation without the hat. Nicely done lego! (Milotzi, if you’d care to weigh in on Minerva’s appearance from canon, I’d love to hear it.)

It’s likely it’s from the Professor McGonagall fig from the Hogsmeade trip. Here’s a shot of her outfit (it’s a little fuzzy because it’s taken from Harry’s POV as he hides under the Invisibility Cloak):

I’d say the clasp holding her robes together is different, but in light of the beautiful fig they designed, I frankly don’t care about inaccuracies.

Here’s a clearer shot of her robes (from the scene where she tells Harry he won’t be permitted to join the others in Hogsmeade without a permission slip). I’m not sure if they’re supposed to be the same outfit, however.

And here someone has put together a comparison of the last year’s Tom Riddle (from the book “Harry Potter Magical Treasury - A Visual Guide to the Wizarding World”), movie Tom and the new fig.

(Not sure where that originated, sorry.)

That's an interesting kind of horseshoe cloak clasp she has there! Secret horse fan? hmm

The Minerva details are wonderful, the penannular brooch is exquisite, though I don't remember her wearing one? The thistle pattern is lovely, as you & Mywitch pointed out, though I'd like to have seen it all around the bottom skirt piece.

I like the Riddle figures details as well, they really captured him carefully.

Colors work for me, better contrast in shading.
