lego Harry Potter 2024 Advent Calendar
Pix have leaked from this year's lego Harry Potter 2024 Advent Calendar 76438, and as announced, it is a nice Christmas expansion to the Great Hall 76435 set. There are obviously spoilers, so click below the fold at your own risk.
We're getting two trees, and a garland on posts. Seven minifigures: Dumbledore, Philosopher's Stone Flitwick, one of the carolling ghosts, and a student from each of the Houses in a House jumper and scarf. Harry, Draco, Susan Bones, and ... The Ravenclaw might be Cho? There are four House tables (with coloured table tops) and the High Table, all laden with treats. The Gryffindor table has a Wizarding Chessboard, Butterbeer mug, and Chocolate frog tile. The Slytherin table has two goblets, a bottle and a jar. The Hufflepuff table has a croissant, custard pudding, cookie and ice cream. The Ravenclaw table has a book, mug, cookie and box of Bertie Bott's Beans. The teachers' table has a turkey on a Christmas platter and a candle. There are statues of the animal mascots from each of the Houses with the House crests. There's a fireplace with space for one of the two portraits included in the set, gifts with Hedwig to fly them in and two Christmas crackers to round out the festive holiday scene.
At the roughly the 16 second mark, you can see the carolling ghosts briefly waft past, and I have to say I'm dead chuffed we're getting one of them, as it's ideal for an advent calendar, and also unlikely to turn up anywhere else. I hope they continue in this vein, as the ghosts were one of the things that made the castle so special.
This looks like a great set (assuming the price point doesn't break the bank). I'm looking forward to it already!
