Lego Harry Potter Winter 2025 Wave Prices and Piece Counts!
The sets should have a January 1st, 2025 release date.
76441 Hogwarts Castle: Duelling Club - $24.99 158 pieces

At this price point it's safe to say it won't have the format of the Potions Class. Perhaps it will be furniture and minifigs to place in the Great Hall to recreate the scene without actual building elements of its own. As for a new Snape, it seems unlikely, but perhaps a cloak might be in the cards?
76442 Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class - $19.99 204 pieces
Interesting, because the same is true for this set. We're unlikely to see a module at this price, but unlike the Duelling Club, this can't simply be placed in the Great Hall, so now I'm curious. What I do expect to see, however, is a new and improved Professor Flitwick, perhaps with arm printing, as we saw for Dumbledore, McGonagall and Snape.
76443 LEGO Hagrid & Harry's Motorcycle - $49.99 617 pieces

Called it. We're looking at another buildable creature / thing. Oh well. (That's not confirmed yet, and perhaps I'm being overly pessimistic. I don't think so, though.)
76446 LEGO Harry Potter Knight Bus - $49.99 499 pieces

No word yet on what the added $10 gets us over the last version. With bad luck, it could always just be the usual price hike.
And the next three have very strange price points in the unusually high direction:
76447 Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lesson - $79.99 651 pieces

This price is wholly unexpected. I could see them doing the Quidditch pitch, but I think it's a hard sell at that price. (Then again, that didn't stop them with the Quidditch Trunk set, which almost definitely had less to offer.) It's an even harder sell when it's just the class. For that price, I expect part of the Castle, but if so, that the Flying class should name the set doesn't sound promising for whatever the Castle build comprises. It's quite a jump in price over the last Flying Lesson set, somewhere around $50, so I'm very curious what we'll see for the difference.
76453 LEGO Harry Potter Malfoy Manor - $149.99 1601 pieces

At this price point, they can probably give us something in keeping with what we saw for 12 Grimmauld Place. It will be interesting to see how they fill the rooms, because creating content has always posed a problem, and as discussed in the last post, the three locations we have, dungeon where Luna and Ollivander are imprisoned and Pettigrew is killed, table on which Charity is eaten by Nagini, and room in which Hermione is tortured and Dobby gets fatally hit by a knife... Not your typical lego source material. Interesting. 🧐
76444 Diagon Alley: Wizarding Shops - $199.99 2750 pieces

There are rumours this might be a microscale / nanoscale version. If so, I find it a little odd they'd have continued the "Diagon Alley" naming convention. On the other hand, it would help explain why we're seeing a DA set in winter. We'll probably need to wait to see what this contains, but at $200, this is shaping up to be an incredibly expensive winter wave.
It sounds like they're trying to appeal to different tastes and budgets, which is great, and it appears they're also paying appropriate attention to those of us who feel we've purchased enough castle variations in the recent past, and aren't enticed by the new Great Hall. I like that they appear to be trying to find a way to still draw us in. It's a shame to leave devoted fans behind when you have such a talented design team. The breadth of the selection also means there's likely to be less "pressure" to chase after the entire wave, which is probably good news for everyone's budget.

Honestly bummed about the dueling set being so dinky, had truly hoped for a Far better Snape to wipe up the floor with Lockhart. Sigh. The other price points on those sets are odd to me too, I'm sincerely afraid of how they will turn out.
