Fawkes! Leaked! In sketch form.
So there's been a crackdown on the individuals leaking the photographic material for the coming sets. Personally, I think it generates buzz, and that's a good thing, the dribs and drabs that keep us hanging on, ever eager for the next crumb, but obviously that's lego's call. One such individual, cmf-wotsit, has developed a workaround, which is sketching the new sets. We've now had confirmation via Fateful that the sketches line up with the pics they've seen for the Hogwarts Express Bookends, and it seems worth posting the latest sketch for 76448 Dumbledore’s Phoenix (previously $19.99, I'd expect it to go for $23 USD off of recent information about pricing).
We had two likely choices for this set, a small buildable creature or Dumbledore's actual Office (probably the scene where Fawkes helps Dumbles escape, or maybe the one where he regenerates). It looks like we now know which of the two it's going to be. Spoilers beneath the fold.

It looks like it's in keeping with the small buildable Hedwig set from last year. It should contain a buildable: adult Fawkes, Sorting Hat and Sword of Gryffindor, so we can re-enact the scene with the Basilisk when we eventually get him, plus a bonus buildable baby Fawkes.
I'm conflicted.
On the one hand, I'm underwhelmed, on the other, I really want to see more accessible sets, which this definitely is, hurrah!, but where there were at least a couple of interesting prints in the Hedwig set, this one just has... printing for the Sorting Hat? Which doesn't seem like it would have much use beyond the depicted. so... *shrug*? I guess? The Ford Anglia and Aragog and Charms and the Duelling Club are all affordable sets, with so much more to offer. I'd have hoped to see more done along those lines. But then again, the broader the spectrum of things on offer, the better it is for the theme in the longer term, and it *is* very nice that they're offering cheaper versions of other sets, as we've seen now for both Hedwig and now Fawkes. So we can expect to see Beaky next year then?
Note to self: be more encouraging, gw! Accessibility is good. Goodness knows, I'm priced out of plenty of their sets, so it's nice they're making the effort. I expect when we see the pictures, it will prove to be a cute little set. It's about managing expectations.
